100% Malbec

Mendoza, Argentina

Vineyard & Winemaking Notes

The grapes are hand selected from old, single trellised, low-yielding vineyards from the foothills of the Andes Mountains. The Mendoza region experiences mini-quakes that shift layers of sand, clay, and loam with gravel and limestone, providing the vineyards with superb root nutrients and variety. After harvest, the grapes are cool macerated in order to retain fruit characters and color. 50% of the wine is cold fermented while the remainder stays warm and left on skins for two weeks. The Malbec is then oak aged for six months prior to bottling.
